Equality Florida Lauds Obama's Support for Same-Sex Marriage: The head of Equality Florida lauded President Obama today for voicing his support for lesbian and gay couples who want to marry. This is a "historic day," said Nadine Smith, Executive Director of Equality Florida.

Teacher's Aide Arrested for Sex Acts With Student: Authorities allege that the teacher's aide conducted a 7-month relationship with a 16-year-old student at Hamilton Disston School in Gulfport.

"Spring Breakers" Spent $1 Million Locally: From hotel rooms to hiring off duty police officers, the film production spent an estimated $1.3 million during filming in Gulfport, St. Pete Beach and St. Petersburg.

Once-a-Week Watering Restrictions in Place in Gulfport: The emergency order will remain in effect through July 31 unless extended or rescinded by the Water Management District Governing Board or Executive Director.
