Flood Watch for Gulfport, Streets May Flood

Pinellas County is under a flood watch as a week of rainy weather continues. If Gulfport is hit with a downpour, low lying streets will likely flood.

This morning’s sunshine was just a tease.

Gulfport joins the rest of Pinellas County in a flood watch as storms continue to move through the area.

According to the National Weather Service, tropical moisture is combining with a stalled front to create a wet Friday with a strong possibility for “numerous thunderstorms,” gusty winds and frequent lightning. Heavy rain is expected throughout the afternoon and into the evening hours.
