5 Thinks to Know in Gulfport: Solo Plays, Oktoberfest, Teen Program

From the annual Oktoberfest celebration to a series of solo plays, there's plenty to do in Gulfport. That and more in "5 Things to Know."

Solo Plays: Come out tonight or tomorrow for a night of solo plays at the City of Imagination Gulfport Arts Center. The plays include performance art, video art and dance. Tickets are $8, doors open at 7:30 and the shows begin at 8 p.m. The plays feature Wilson Loria, Alice Ferrulo, April Brown and Zoe Gallon. Oktoberfest: Most Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church is hosting it's annual Oktoberfest celebration today through Sunday. The festival features rides, games, raffles, food, drinks and more! The event is from 4 - 11 p.m. on Friday, 1 - 11 p.m. on Saturday and 1 - 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Teen Program: There's a Teen Program tonight at 6 p.m. at the Gulfport Recreation Center. For more information call the center at (727) 893-1068. We've also attached a calendar of events for this month at the rec center.
