5 Things to Know in Gulfport: Yard Sale, Events, Veterans Dance

Have you signed up for the city wide yard sale yet? That and much more in "5 Things to Know Today."

City Wide Yard Sale: The next Permit-Free City-Wide Yard sale is on Saturday, Nov. 3. The registration form is available on the City of Gulfport's website. If you want your yard sale to make it in the map brochure, fill out the attached form and turn it into the Gulfport Public Library or Gulfport City Hall by Friday, Oct. 26. You can also get your address in the flyer by emailing it to Justin Shea at jshea@mygulfport.us by Oct. 26.

Vendors Needed: Organizers are seeking local businesses, artists and artisans to fill downtown Gulfport during the upcoming Veteran's Day Parade on Saturday, November 11. For more information contact Bob Worthington at (727) 916-8014.

Veterans Dance Benefit: Tickets are on sale now for the Veteran's Day Dance and Benefit on Sunday, November 11 with live band Steel Horse, at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom. The "Heroes Weekend" event will help raise money for the Veterans Law Institute and Paws for Patriots program. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased now at the Gulfport Chamber of Commerce or The American Legion Post 125. For more information, please call Bob Worthington at 727-916-8014. Donations can also be made by mailing a check to the American Legion Post #125 6440 5th Ave S, St. Petersburg, FL 33707. Note on the check should state for Heroes Weekend.
