Burglaries: The Gulfport Police Department is warning citizens about three vehicle burglaries that happened over the weekend. According to their Facebook post, all three cars were unlocked and had valuables in plain view. Officials are asking people to remove or conceal valuables and lock cars.
Veterans Dance Benefit: Tickets are on sale now for the Veteran's Day Dance and Benefit on Sunday, November 11 with live band Steel Horse, at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom. The dance is the premier event for the "Heroes Weekend" and will help raise money for the Veterans Law Institute and Paws for Patriots program. So, stop by the courtyard at the Peninsula Inn between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Bring up to 5 garments to exchange for vouchers to use to "buy" select clothing brought in by other participants. All cash proceeds, donated clothing, and non-selected garments at the end of the swap will be donated to Community Action Stops Abuse (CASA). CASA is a local non-profit organization providing services to survivors of abuse or violence.
