5 Things to Know in Gulfport: Toys for Tots, Blog on Patch, School Workshops

Toys for Tots: Michelle Kotewa at Liberty Tax Service, 4920 Gulfport Blvd. S., is collecting toy donations for Toys for Tots. Kotewa has set up a box for items at her business. Feel free to drop off unwrapped toys at Liberty Tax during regular business hours. Pinellas County School Workshops: The district is holding three workshops in November to teach parents how to apply for magnet, fundamental and career academy programs. All of the workshops will begin at 7 p.m. at the following dates and locations:

• Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Pinellas Park High, 6305 118th Ave. N, Largo
• Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Gibbs High, 850 34th St. S, St. Petersburg
• Thursday, Nov. 29, at Countryside High, 3000, State Road 580, Clearwater

Meeting Change: Just a heads up! The South 49th St. Business Association has moved their November meeting time and date. The new date is Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the meeting house at 5021 Tangerine Ave S. For more information email so49web@aol.com.
