5 Things to Know in Gulfport: Teen Council, Salsa Lessons, Veterans Parade

Here's "5 Things to Know Today."

Teen Council: The Gulfport Teen Council will meet at 4:45 p.m. at Gulfport City Hall today.

Salsa: The Salsa lessons beging at 6:30 p.m. at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom. General dancing begins at 8 p.m. Admission is just $7 per person.

Attention Young Writers! The "In Your Own Words" Gulfport Youth Book Writing Contest opens on Saturday, Oct. 6. The deadline is on Nov. 10th. Throughout the month of October and early November there will be workshops for all ages every Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Gulfport Library hosted by the pros; refreshments will be served.
