5 Things to Know in Gulfport: Salsa, Playground and Volleyball Dedication

Here's what you need to know today!

Salsa Social Dance: The Salsa Social Dance is tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom. Lessons are first with Carol Rivera and then general dancing begins at 8 p.m. Admission is $7 per person.

The Gulfport Community Players: The group will be running a J.M. Synge Irish drama entitled, The Playboy of the Western World, from Nov. 8 - 18. The play will run at the Hickman Theater, located at 26th Ave. S. and Beach Blvd. in Gulfport, FL. Dedication on Sunday: Come out to Gulfport Beach on Sunday November 11, at 11:30 AM! The public is invited to join the City of Gulfport's City Council in the presentation and opening of the Gulfport Beach Parks and Recreation Improvement Project, funded by "Penny for Pinellas" dollars. Bring your family to Gulfport Beach as we will be having two dedication and ribbon cutting ceremonies. The first of two dedications and ribbon cuttings will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the new Beach Playground, located at 5730 Shore Blvd. S. The second dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 11:45 a.m., at the new Beach Volleyball courts, located at 5500 Shore Blvd. S. This will be one of many fun packed events during Heroes Weekend in the beautiful City of Gulfport, FL.
