5 Things to Know in Gulfport: City Council, Fresh Market, Flu Shots

City Council: The public is encouraged to attend the Gulfport City Council meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at Gulfport City Hall. Check out the agenda online.

Evening Hours at the Fresh Market: Starting today, the Gulfport Fresh Market will offer extended hours the first Tuesday of the month until the end of May. You can stop by between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Flu Shots: There will be flu shots available today from 1 - 3 p.n. at the Gulfport Senior Center. Bring your medicare or insurance card or pay $25 for flu or $80 for pneumonia shots. Call (727) 893-1231 for more information.

Birthday Bash: Mark your calendars now for Gulfport's Birthday Bash on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Gulfport Historical Museum. The event will feature antiques appraisals, guided trolley tours, mullet toss, children's games, a sidewalk art contest and more! Of course, be sure to stop by for free birthday cake!
