How Does It Feel to be 100?

Mrs. Micocci was surrounded by her family, who flew in from all over the country to be in Gulfport to celebrate her 100th birthday.

You can ask Harriet Micocci of Gulfport, FL, but unfortunately, she will not be able to answer with words. Due to Alzheimer's disease, she communicates through her smile and bright eyes.

This past weekend, Mrs. Micocci was surrounded by her family, who flew in from all over the country to be in Gulfport to celebrate her 100th birthday.

The celebration started with the receipt of a personalized congratulations letter from President Barack Obama and concluded with a big party at the Gulfport home of her son, Jonathan Micocci, and daughter-in-law.

The grand finale was the release of 100 Chinese lanterns lit and sent floating into the starlit sky on Saturday night.
