Domain Expands Art Space, Gallery Grand Opening Saturday

You're invited to the grand opening ceremony for a new art gallery space provided by Domain Home Accessories this weekend in Gulfport.

Domain Home Accessories & Gallery will host a grand opening ceremony of its new gallery space on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 3129 Beach Blvd. S. in Gulfport.

For over 11 years, Domain Home Accessories has offered a unique assortment of merchandise and has become a beloved merchant in the heart of Gulfport’s Waterfront Arts District.  The keystone of this small, independent business has always been original art work, with an emphasis on functional art for the home.  Housed in its small, colorful quarters are floor to ceiling displays of home décor, lamps and lighting, jewelry, kitchen ware and entertainment accessories, pottery, glassware, decorative hardware, candles, bath and body products, gifts, cards, or in other words “something for everyone.”  The shop is well-known as a supporter of local art and artists, as well as the “go-to” shop for a selection of unique items unavailable elsewhere.

After 11 years of working within one small, limited space, Domain Home Accessories has acquired the adjacent retail space which recently became available.  During the September 8th ceremonies, the combined spaces will officially be dedicated as “Domain Home Accessories & Gallery.”  The new space will serve as one of Gulfport’s finest art galleries, representing a large number of local and regional artists.  Some artists will be featured on an ongoing basis, with a revolving selection of their work, and other artists will be featured as guests for a limited duration.  A tasteful “Art Erotica” room is also planned.

During the September 8th grand opening, two artists will be featured guests: award-winning glassblowing artist, Gulfport’s own Owen Pach; and “adopted by Gulfport” folk artist Kimberly Clayton Dawn. Gulfport city officials will also be on hand to help dedicate the new gallery space. Complimentary hors d’oeuvre, wine and other beverages will be offered.
