Sunday Sunset: What's all the Hoopla About?

We want to see your photos! We know we live in paradise and part of that is enjoying a beautiful sunset everyday. Starting today, we want you to send in your sunset photos from around the area and every Sunday, we'll share it on Gulfport Patch.

Welcome to your Sunday Sunset, a weekly photo feature that reminds us to take a moment and appreciate what it means to live in Gulfport.

Patch reader Susan uploaded a couple of photos of Gulfport Beach and Boca Ciega Bay in our "Gulfport Pics & Clips" neighborhood gallery! Check out this sunset photo taken on Saturday, Dec. 8 after the Holiday Hoopla in downtown Gulfport - hence the title, "What's all the Hoopla About?"

Thanks for sharing, Susan.

If you would like to submit a photo for our next "Sunday Sunset", email it to the editor at cherlene.willis@patch.com or upload it in our "Gulfport Pics & Clips" gallery!

Our sunsets are amazing. About 25 years ago I had been living in Florida about 15 years & was so used to them that I didn't even notice until one day, I was driving to Tampa Bay from Orlando with a friend from Manhattan that had come down for a week & we had gone to Disney World. She was amazed at the sunset & I realized at that time that what we consider normal is the kind of sunset that is on chamber of commerce postcards, photos & paintings of Paradise.
