Most Lovable Dog Photo Contest: Deadline Dec. 31!

Perhaps we should rename Gulfport's Most Lovable Dog Photo Contest.

Judging from the 16 photos uploaded so far, maybe we should call it Gulfport's Most Lovable Dogs and Their Lovable Owners.

Many of the photos submitted show dog owners in a state of bliss with their dogs: hugging them, nuzzling them, napping with them.

You can't help but smile and give your own dog an extra scritch behind the ears as you scroll through the Photo Gallery above.

Better yet grab your camera or cell phone. Because time is running out to enter the Most Lovable Dog Photo Contest.

You have until midnight Dec. 31. It's easy to enter. Really.

1.) Just upload your photo to this article. Add a caption, too!

2.) Submit as many photos as you like, from now through midnight on Dec. 31.

3.) After that, we'll ask readers to vote for their favorite photo by leaving a comment in the Comment Section. Voting in the comment section will start on Wednesday, Jan. 2, and end at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9. The dog (and his or her owner) with the most comments will win a $25 gift card to Petco!

• To enter, upload a photo.
