Welcome to your weekend and welcome to Patch Minute. We're going to help you plan out things to do in St. Pete, the Beaches and Gulfport.
That's right, we're at the Pinellas County Fair! If you like funnel cake, cotton candy, bumper cars and everything the fair has to offer, you better stop by on Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday. There are more than 50 rides, games, attractions and food booths set up at Tropicana Field in downtown St. Pete. Admission is $6 for adults and children 13 and older. It's $5 for kids between 5 and 12 and children under 5 are free. Don't forget to stop by the ticket booth and grab a carnival wristband for $20. If you buy a wristband in advance at participating Walgreens, it's $15. With so much going on, the fair is perfect weekend event for all ages.
You'll also find plenty of family friendly activities for free in Gulfport. The 18th Annual Springfest celebration is 10 - 8 p.m. on Beach Boulevard in downtown Gulfport. Admission and parking are free. You'll also find food, drinks, live music on not one, but two stages! If you're into arts and crafts, be sure to bring a bonnet for the Easter Bonnet Walking Parade at 5 p.m. There will be prizes.
And our last event filled with live music, food, drinks, a fashion show and fireworks is in Treasure Island at the Treasure Island Community Center Park. Tickets are on sale now for Chillounge. There will be hundreds out outdoor seating to create an outdoor, nightclub atmosphere from 6 - 11 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
