Patch Minute: Art Walk, Food Trucks, Splash & Dash

Gulfport

We're starting this week's Patch Minute in the Art Village Courtyard in Gulfport. The Art Village is a hot spot during the monthly Art Walks. This Saturday come on down to Gulfport from 6 - 10 p.m. for the Third Saturday Art Walk. You can watch live glassblowing at the Industrial Arts Center for free or join in and register to blow glass for a fee, grab a bite to eat at one of several local restaurants and find something unique and local at one of dozens of vendors on Beach Boulevard.

St. Pete.

We all love food, in addition to grabbing a bite to eat in Gulfport, you'll be able to sample an array of dishes in downtown St. Pete in the Grand Central District. There is a craft beer and food truck festival on Saturday from 1 - 6 p.m. There will be about 40 craft beer breweries on hand for taste testing. You can buy beer tasting tickets in advance, but you don't have to purchase tickets to attend the event. For more information about tickets, check out Patch.com.

The Beaches:

Now, if you're looking for a spot to cool and keep your kids busy, stop by the Splash and Dash Children's Biathlon at the St. Pete Beach Pool on Sunday. Kids five to 12 can participate. The event includes music, games, water slides, contests and more, and it only costs $5.
