Gulfport Toastmasters Earn Titles at Area 10 Contest

Two members of Gulfport Toastmasters won awards at the Area 10 Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest in St. Petersburg last Saturday morning.

Kelly Wright of Gulfport won first place in the Evaluation Contest by providing feedback about the test speaker’s presentation. Kelly is a business coach and online strategist with ZKDesigns. Joe Haynes, a member from Toastmasters at All Children’s Hospital earned second place.

Wesley Whittaker of Gulfport Toastmasters won second place in the Humorous Speech Contest. Wesley is a professional ghostwriter living in Gulfport and currently Vice-President of Public Relations for the club. First place was taken by Ranetta Sumner in her hilarious tale about “the change”. Ranetta is a member of Toastmasters at All Children’s Hospital.
