Photos Chosen for Gulfport Patch's Facebook Cover Photos in November!

We've chosen our next cover photos for the Gulfport Patch Facebook page!

Nearly 30 amazing local photos were submitted in our first Gulfport Patch Facebook Cover Photo contest!

From Gulfport Beach to the Gulfport Municipal Marina and everything in between, you guys submitted amazing edited and unedited photos of our beloved town.

Because of such an overwhelming response in our very first monthly contest, we've chosen four winners at random and will feature four photos in the month of November. The patch magnets go to . . .

Congratulations!

  • Rob Fowler
  • Lee Pearson
  • Jason Babb
  • Eagle Finegan

Each week we'll feature one of the four chosen photos on our Facebook page!

Didn't win this time? No worries! We want to feature local photos each month! When we announce the next contest just upload your photos, even pictures that were not selected this time around.

I really like all the photos selected, even the close-up of the bird which is so Halloween! I just hope the waterfront sky view was taken from one of those jet-packs they demonstrated during GeckoFest! Seriously, I am interested in how that photo was taken so hope the secret will be told sometime in the comments.

Love the other photos! Well, Lynda, my lovely wife surprised me on my birthday by hiring a helicopter to fly me over Gulfport so I could take photos. This has been a dream for several years and what a beautiful day it was!

Super great present! I may do that for my husband. It will be his 65th so one should do something special. And, Rob, it is a postcard-worthy photo which I am sure is one of many you took on your ride. Look forward to seeing the others, too.

Thanks Lynda! I do plan a postcard and a poster. Most likely it will be available at our Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce Visitor and Information center one day soon. :) For your hubby's 65th birthday, a view of Gulfport from the air is unforgettable. It truly gives a perspective of where we are in relation to everywhere else. Basically we are very close neighbors to the Gulf of Mexico beaches, downtown St. Pete, Tampa, Clearwater and Clearwater Beach, and all theManatee County cities. I hope my business one day will be fruitful enough to sponsor a high Ferris wheel that will take a lot of folks high enough to see the view during one of our` festivals.

The photos are boring. A bird ? Really. It doesn't tell much about Gulfport. And the one taken from the sky just got selected because it was difficult to take that picture, however it only shows the city from far above. There were so many others far more beautiful. Bunch of democrats probably picked those photos.
