2012: A Year in Photos

From Tropical Storm Debby, local and national elections, volunteer events and the 12th Annual Geckofest celebration, 2012 has been a memorable year in Gulfport.

What a year! In the past 12 months we've cleaned up after major storms - Tropical Storm Debby, welcomed a new city council member, celebrated many firsts, including Aquamania, and many popular parties, including St. Paddy's Day at O'Maddy's.

Gulfport Patch snapped hundreds of photos this year and all of YOU guys uploaded hundreds more in our "Gulfport Pics & Clips" neighborhood gallery - 600+!

It was tough, but we scanned through this year's photos and selected a few that really stood out in 2012!

You can view complete photo galleries of these events in our column, "Viewfinder."

Special thanks to everyone who shared photos with us and your neighbors on Gulfport Patch!

Great year of photos by a great photographer. Has the Gulfport ''Human Chain'' aerial photo been released yet? That would be a good one to also show.
