And the Powerball Winner Is...

The Powerball winning ticket combination was announced the day after Christmas. Today the mystery man stepped forward to claim his jackpot.

He's 30 years old, camera shy and was in no rush to claim his $50 million winning Florida Lottery ticket.

That is what's known about the St. Petersburg mystery man who was declared the winner today of a $50 million Powerball jackpot that so many people wished they had but that had gone unclaimed since Dec. 26, 2012.

Christopher McGurran of St. Petersburg stepped forward to claim his winnings today. But he declined to have his publicity photo taken when he was declared a winner in the Florida Powerball Lottery.

He bought the ticket at Sweetbay, at 2139 34th Street North, in St. Petersburg. The winning number combination was announced the day after Christmas, as well as the location of where the ticket was purchased. But no one came forward – until now.
