5 Things to Know This Weekend: Gallery Grand Opening, Gallery Talk, Tango Dancing

You're invited to an art gallery grand opening, gallery talk by a well-known local artist and a special evening of tango dancing at the historic Gulfport Casino Ballroom. Yep, there's a lot going on this weekend in Gulfport!

Domain Welcomes (Even More) Art: Domain Home Accessories & Gallery will host a grand opening ceremony of its new gallery space on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 3129 Beach Blvd. S. in Gulfport. Owen Pach at the Museum of Fine Arts: Pach is taking part in a gallery talk on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 2:30 p.m. This event is titled, "History of American Glass Movement and Gallery Talk with Owen Pach." The introductory lecture and gallery talk will be included with admission. The Museum of Fine Arts is located at 255 Beach Drive NE, St. Petersburg. For more information call (727) 896-2667.

Last Meditation Class Today: Ted Leitho is teaching a free meditation class Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Gulfport Public Library. Leitho has been offering free classes throughout the summer; this weekend will be the last session.

I cheated and stopped in to the new gallery space and every day it has 'grown'. This is going to be a great new addition to the offerings we have here in Gulfport. Thank you Mike, Bobbi, Mike and all your helpers who have put this together. It is a true gift to the community!
