This was the first photo I took at about 5:30 am on this very cold December Gulfport morning. Channel 10 News was here about our great food in town. All of the Gulfport celebrities came out, even at this early hour. But we had a new friend who arrived for the first time, Cherlene Willis. Of the 100 or so photos I took, this is the only one that she appears in as she stayed out of the limelight during all the 10 News excitement. If I am not mistaken, she is the one bundled up in brown, warm and toasty fresh from South Dakota. The entire town fell in love with Cherlene immediately. She has been a wonderful addition to our community and a true friend to all of us. We are so lucky you picked us as your Patch town! Thank you, Cherlene!
