Here's what you need to know today in Gulfport!

City Council Meeting: The Gulfport City Council Meeting is tonight at 7 p.m. at Gulfport City Hall. Remember, if you can't make it to the meeting, watch it live online on the city's website. For a complete look at the agenda, check out this link.

Tuesday Fresh Market: 
Be sure to "like" the Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market on Facebook before heading out to the weekly market today! Hours are 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Have fun shopping!

Dancing at the Casino: 
It's Tuesday, and that means there's plenty of dancing going on today at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom. Ballroom lessons with Carol Baker begin at 12 p.m. with the Argentine Tango starting at 6:30 p.m. Lessons and admission are just $7 per person.

Budget Hearings: 
Gulfport City Councilors will be holding two public budget hearings to hear from you before final adoption of the Operating Budget for FY 2013/14. The first hearing is on Wednesday, September 4 at 7 p.m. at Gulfport City Hall. The second will be held on Wednesday, September 18, also at 7 p.m.

Scattered Thunderstorms: Looks like we have a 40 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms mainly after noon. According to the National Weather Service we'll have a high near 89 with heat index values as high as 97.
