Greenpeace invites the public to celebrate its 40th anniversary by visiting the "Rainbow Warrior III." This is the first ship designed specifically for Greenpeace. It is enviromentally friendly and designed to rely on wind power as much as 90 percent, with a hull shape intended for superior energy efficiency, organizers say. It also is fully equipped as both a research vessel and a deep-sea communications hub. Plus, it has a helicopter landing pad.
The ship is not wheelchair accessible. Please wear closed-toe shoes for the tour.

More About Port of Saint Petersburg
The Port St. of Petersburg has a cruise passenger terminal and is a frequent stop for commercial carriers. Located next to the U.S. Coast Guard Station on Tampa Bay, the port borders the Albert Whitted Airport and is near the city marina. City boosters note the proximity of the port to I-275 and an uncongested network of well-maintained highways.
