The public is invited to Stetson's Veterans Law Institute ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, May 31, at 12 p.m. The new institute will serve military active duty and veterans, and is located at 6101 13th Ave. S. in Gulfport, adjacent to the Stetson Law campus. The Honorable Bruce E. Kasold, Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, will provide the keynote at the celebration, which includes music, a color guard presentation, singing of the National Anthem, and a tour of the new facility. More About Stetson University College of Law
Stetson University College of Law is Florida's first law school. The university was founded in 1900 in DeLand and moved to Gulfport in 1954. More than 1,100 students are enrolled at the Gulfport main campus and satellite campus in Tampa. The Tampa Law Center opened in 2004 near downtown Tampa.
