Do you ever get the feeling that Mitt Romney doesn't want us to see his tax returns? Now he says it would invade his "religious privacy." Um, I think you file those things with the U.S. government --you know that thing Republicans hate about as much as anarchists--not the church or temple or cult or whatever you want to call it.
I don't know about you but it creeps me out. If he really needs that much privacy surrounding his religion maybe we better call on the Tampa Bay Times to investigate it. I mean, I can understand him citing religious privacy if we were trying to listen in on his prayers, or post pics of him in his magic underwear on the internet but we just want to see his flippin' tax returns. That's all. Just standard fiscal stuff. Nothing to moan and groan and drag in the Almighty about.
And by the way, Mitt, we know what you're praying for anyway-- that we'll quit hounding you about your tax returns.

Perhaps he is hiding how much money he is making from the Mormons? In any event, the religous privacy argument seems to lack merit.

Of course his excuse lacks merit, Romney himself is totally lacking in merit, everything that comes out of his mouth lacks merit but what is really important is where can one get "magic underwear"? Are people so dumb as to even consider electing someone that has, wears and believes in the power of "magic underwear" Perhaps they are not really magic maybe thats just what Ann calls his clean pair? Perhaps "Skid Mark Romney" will catch on :)

Mr. Romney is running for President of the United States.
This is a position of Trust.
Ronald Reagan said, "Trust but Verify."
Mr. Romney has said, "Trust me," re his tax returns.
It is not unreasonable for voters to want to "Verify.
What is the single issue on which Mr. Romney has never flip-flopped? He stands doggedly firm on never, under any circumstances, releasing his tax returns.
Why?
It is not just liberals who want to see Romney's tax returns.
It is 63% of American voters who do.
The longer Mr. Romney delays, the more suspicious it appears.
Obama released 8 years of tax returns
GW Bush 10 years
Clinton 12 years
GHW Bush 14 years
George Romney 12 years.
What is there to hide?

As any man with wealth in this country, where his wealth isn't verified. What is there to hide? plenty.

Well, Currently they do not practice law because he is the president and decided on a life of politics. It isn't that hard to figure out. As far as college transcripts if he has the piece of paper that says he has the degree, they do not matter. Welcome to business world in America.

Bulldog, you should read Obama's own books. Then you'll have a lot more questions about him, such as:
1. On what country's passport did he enter Pakistan in 1981, when he attended an Islamic madrassa there? At the time, Pakistan was an Islamic military dictatorship, and ordinary US citizens with US passports were not admitted to their country.
2. Why does Obama have a Connecticut-based Social Security number, when he has never lived there and certainly was not born there?
3. Why has Obama not showed us his Selective Service registration?
4. Why, if he is so brilliant, and was such a great student, will he not release a single college transcript from any of the prestigious schools he has supposedly attended? Diplomas (which he has also NEVER released) prove nothing. Only official transcripts are valid.
5. Obama has admitted to extensive illegal drug use, according to him in his book, "anything and everything he could get his hands on". Do you ever recall saying when he stopped doing illegal drugs? Have drugs fried his brains?
Fortunately, the American people will answer all of these questions November 6th. Another question you might ask Obama is why is he house-shopping oceanfront property in Maui, via his friend Penny Pritzer, the Hyatt Hotel billionaire-heiress? Could it be that he knows he is moving in January? : )

But where are the Romney tax returns for the six previous years?
Or, as was wisely said by an earlier poster:

GW Bush 10 years
Clinton 12 years
GHW Bush 14 years
George Romney 12 years.
What is there to hide?"

He can't be trusted, period. @Free Spirit, your blind support is one of the reasons there are still ANY republicans. If you knew your candidate and what he really stood for, would you still vote for him? If you understood the most pressing issues facing this country, Romney wouldn't even be in the game. He was the best of a terrible field offered up by the republicans for this election...if he wins (and God help us if he does), he will set up back 50 years.

Free Spirit ... Dee .. Mac Attack ... It is simple. First Romney needs to gain the public's trust. One of the elements needed to do so is to publicly post their full and complete income tax returns for the past eight plus years. Secondly folks - the people who follow these blogs heard your comments the first time and you need not repeat the same thing over and over again. It is unfortunate you seemingly hide behind some nom de guerre rather than your given name.

First of all I am not hiding behind anything, I distrust most liberals due to being threatened by one on another site because of the fact I am a proud Republican & I support Mr. Romney, he is a great leader & I have confidence in his abilities therefore he will be our 45th President of The United States of America as for all the liberals trying push your opinions down our throat think again nothing you say will change our mind, with all due respect President Obama had his chance to improve the economy but instead for the last 4 years he chose to spend rather than cut government spending by choosing to give the taxes from hard working citizens to bunch of lazy liberals who don't want to work & want everything for free, nothing in life is free eventually you will pay when the well dries up, all the spending will bankrupt this great nation of ours, what are all the welfare puppets going to do then??
Liberals have no respect I say this because of all the name calling & bashing just because you don't agree with their views, apparel he may or may not wear is none of your business, calling him a skid mark & other unmentionable names is extremely WRONG, have some RESPECT, take an example, I have lots of respect for President Obama I would never call him inappropriate names just because I don't agree with his views, it is disrespectful & extremely rude!
Mr Romney's tax return which I posted several times reason being so many of you pretending it is not, your argument is invalid!
