Space shuttle Endeavour is set to launch at 8:56 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2011. Here's what you need to know to stay up to date on the launch and watch it from Gulfport.

The launch is planned for today, May 16 at 8:56 a.m. EDT from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Fla. The mission is planned for 14 days and will include four spacewalks. The launch was first planned for Friday April 29, 2011, but was scrubbed due to technical issues.

- Clam Bayou Nature Park (elevated nature trails)
- Walter & Bert Williams Fishing Pier off Shore Blvd. S. (located on Boca Ciega Bay, the pier should give you a good view of the skyline)
- Boca Ciega Bay (anchor your boat and make sure you can view the sky towards the northeast)
