Welcome to your Sunday Sunset, a weekly photo feature that reminds us to take a moment and appreciate what it means to live in Gulfport.

Although the name of our weekly photo feature is "Sunday Sunset," we welcome sunrise photos as well.

This week Gulfport Police Officer Jon Davis sent in 44, yes, 44 sunrise photos taken over a span of six months!

"Some of the advantages to working really early is seeing stuff like this," Davis wrote to Patch.

When asked what he likes about the photos, he replied, "What do I like about the photos, it's peaceful at that time in the morning before the city wakes up!"
