'We Are the Storm,' RNC Protesters Chant

Protesters, armed with signs and a message, marched through downtown St. Petersburg as Isaac threatened to put a damper on the Republican National Convention.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Hundreds of protesters called for higher minimum wage and an end to corporate tax breaks during the "99% march" to Tropicana Field, the site of the kickoff party Sunday night for the Republican National Convention.

Participants marched from Mirror Lake to Tropicana Field carrying signs that stated, "Corporate Greed has a Face in Florida," "Greedy Old Party," and "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."

The march had the tone of a 1960s peace rally but the message reflected the economic concerns of 2012.
