All children 18 years old and younger can eat for free, regardless of their economic situation. There are multiple sites throughout Pinellas County where meals will be available during certain dates and times.
Summer Break Spot is a federal nutrition program sponsored locally by Pinellas County Health and Human Services and Pinellas County Schools.
Most sites serve a maximum of two meals per day or a meal and a snack. Many sites offer free meals to all children under the age of 18, regardless of economic situation. Other sites, where children are enrolled in a summer program, offer the meals to children in the program.
Hamilton Disston School, 5125 11th Ave S, Gulfport, will be providing free meal service to students enrolled in a summer program, closed to the public. Lunch will be served between June 18 and July 24.
Gibbs High School, 850 34th St S, Saint Petersburg, will be providing free meals Monday through Thursday and will be open to the public between June 13 and June 28. Breakfast will be served between 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. and lunch will be served from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
