Dozens filled Beach Boulevard on Saturday as friends, family and the community came together to say, "Thank You," to our veterans. I snapped a few photos from on top of the Gulfport Patch "float" during the Veterans Parade. Did you go? Please, add your photos to this article!

Thanks for the pictures, Cherlene. The Patch float looked great! We too busy waving at the floats to take pictures, sorry. This was a terrific Parade honoring local Veterans. Thanks to all who organized and participated!

Thanks to all who participated in the parade. Special thanks to the former Marine who organized it and to the Boca Ciega HS band. I love the funky little Gulfport parades, but a marching band has been conspicuously absent from most - if not all - previous parades. Dotti Doyle

I agree, Dotti, about how wonderful the Boca Ciega HS band was in the Veterans Parade. I loved the flag twirlers who accompanied them, too. Quite a good show and I hope they will be in more local events. Gulfport's teens are doing their parents and their community proud this month in many ways!
