Mole Patrol to Offer Free Cancer Screenings

The Mole Patrol offers cancer screenings, and it's free!

The Mole Patrol is 40 feet long and coming to Gulfport Saturday.

But the Mole Patrol has nothing to do with garden variety pests. Mole Patrol is the catchy name for Moffitt Cancer Center's mobile health screening unit.

Health providers will be in the mobile health clinic Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. to provide free skin cancer screenings in addition to free oral and prostate cancer screenings. People can register on-site and do not have to call ahead.

The screenings will take place in the mobile heath van parked outside Walgreens, at 58th Street S and Gulfport Boulevard.

Moffitt is visiting Gulfport, in partnership with the city of Gulfport, the Oral Screening Foundation, the Jim West Prostate Cancer Foundation and Walgreens.  Learn about oral cancer at oralcancer.org.
