Dog Parks Are Social Time for Pets and Their People

We take our dogs to the park to to run and play with their canine pals. At the same time, we also become more social.

Almost every day my dogs know exactly what I am doing and when. For example, they know if it is a work day, and they know my routine so well that when I am putting on my shoes they are going into "their room" for the day.

They also know when it is time for the dog park, because when I am putting on my shoes to go there they are going crazy! How they know the difference, I will never know. Is it the time of day? My clothes? My behavior? The point is, they get very excited to go to the dog park, but they are not the only ones.

I too enjoy it. We go to the dog park at the same time everyday. This happens mostly because of schedules; however, it ends up being a good thing.  Not only do the dogs have their "friends," so do I.

There is a camaraderie going to the dog park every day and seeing the same people. We have become friends, or at least acquaintances with some. For an example, we had one gentleman who became ill, and everyone asked about him. To make things even more incredible, if it was not for one of his "dog park friends" going to his house, he could of ended up in a worse situation than just going to the hospital for a couple of days.

We take our dogs to the park to to run and play with their canine pals. At the same time, we also become more social. I have made some great friends by going to the dog park. We have actually done things together outside of the dog park.

It seems as though my dogs not only help me by making me happy, but they help me in being more social.
