Coppola's Tree Service Named Business of the Month
The Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce has named Coppola's Tree Service as the February Member of the Month.
Congratulations to Coppola's Tree Service for being chosen as the Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce member of the month for February.
The Chamber announced the acknowledgment in the press release below.
According to Chamber President, Lori Rosso:
“Tim Coppola and his company have, once again, gone well beyond the call of duty in serving their community. Back on January 28, when 100 or so Gulfport area residents got together to help restore a disabled resident's yard and home over on 8th Ave. S., Tim, his equipment and his crew led the way in improving the safety and attractiveness of the home.
"By now, everyone knows how Officer McLaughlin got together with Doug Hudson and the Gulfport Neighbors to replace a six foot fence, remove a deck, clean out and repair a garage, clear an overwhelming amount of brush, trim and remove several trees and replace a kitchen ceiling. It was a wonderful example of all parts of a community getting together and helping a neighbor who is less fortunate than most.
"The Gulfport Neighbors, a citizen volunteer organization, raised a volunteer army of willing hands, including four members of the City Council. The City of Gulfport agreed to haul away an unbelievable amount of brush and debris. Many area business people participated including the event organizer, Doug Hudson, lunch for 100 provider, Smokin J’s and skilled craftspeople Mike Hanson and Emily Goodwin, owner of Em’s Eye.
"Tim Coppola and two of his employees along with an assortment of equipment spent the entire day on the site cutting brush, trimming trees and removing diseased trees. According to an observer, 'if Tim had billed for that work the total would have been in the thousands of dollars.' "
"The vote of the Chamber Board of Directors was unanimous."

Coppola's certainly deserves recognition for its gift of service which not only benefited the homeowner, but also the whole community. Gulfport is fortunate to have businesses like Coppola's that care enough to invest in the city.

What Tim and his employees did was truly "priceless". Thank you Coppola's!

Tim is always there to lend a helping hand or his bucket truck (great photo of Bluesfest from that perch) for Gulfport. Thank you for being such a genuine caring person and surrounding yourself with a crew with the same philosophy.
