Photos: Baby Bunnies, Possums, Squirrels
A wildlife rescue center in Gulfport is helping raise orphaned babies and rehabilitating injured animals. Gulfport reader Lynn DiVenuti uploaded several photos from the center.
Orphaned bunnies, possums, squirrels and other small mammals are being cared for at Howell's Angels Wildlife Rehabilitation & Rescue Center in Gulfport.
According to the center's website, the non-profit is operated by John and Marie Howell, who are licensed and qualified through the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission.
The center allows tours by appointment only on Saturday mornings. Call (727) 768-6298 for more information.

Thanks Cherlene!! The Howells Angels Wildlife Rehab & Rescue have healed and released dozens upon dozens of our local wildlife that have been injured or orphaned. These are wonderfully devolted individuals that have sacrificed much to keep this center going. Our wildlife is a precious gift that most of us take for granted or have defined the wildlife as a nuisance. The local wildlife has such a profound effect on our existence and our eco-chain of existence. Our Thanks to John & Marie Howell for their community service.
