The GOP platform contains planks demeaning to women and GOP votes against equal pay and equal protection against violence for all women are good reasons not to vote for any GOP candidate. That said, it is unproductive to joke about Mrs. Romney. Mrs. Obama has endured vicious attacks against her looks, her projects and really against her "daring" to live in the White House. There is no reason to give Mrs. Romney's supporters any reason to complain about "leftist" manners. even in joking.

Oh please!!! sounds like you are on board with the "leftist" lie on "war on women" I guess you have to hang on to something even if it makes no sense. It is incredably sad the the far leftist a picking at straws because they all know their candidate does not stand a chance to win. What a shame!!!!

I am a 52 year young Republican woman and no one has taken away my right to work, and build a solid home for my family. It takes hard work and no party should be used as an excuse not to live your life as you see fit. I have had to work 2 full time jobs to get where I am today and if I can do it so can you. People neef to quit complaining about others and work are themselves. It will make you happier and satisfied in the long run. Blaming someone for your down luck gets you no where but depressvile.

Sorry for the typos. I broke two of my fingers in a fall walking my dogs last night and it is difficult to type.

I am happy for your success ( and sorry for your finger injury!!) Many of us, although we worked very hard, have had our achievements discounted because of our gender. Hard work, talent, education are often not enough to overcome obstacles. In my professional career with a large company, I was not paid the same salary as a younger, less experienced, less educated man and I was actually told my gender was the reason (by a clueless man, of course!) The L. Ledbetter Act, opposed by the GOP, signed into law by President Obama in 2009 was intended to prevent such obvious discrimination. I was fortunate enough to have other employment options, but the small town bank tellers who were never promoted to branch manager or the assembly workers who were harassed until they left often don't have options. Those of us who fight for equality of opportunity aren't "blaming" other people, but we do hold accountable those lawmakers who refuse us a level playing field. Again, I am happy your hard work paid off so far. I hope at your age it will not be necessary for you to seek other employment. You might find (as so many over 50 workers have) age is another obstacle and a greater one than gender.

I'm sorry, that so many people want to nicpick the minor things. Be happy this area is getting the pleasure of hosting one of the two major party conventions. If that means that a spot light is given to a All Childrens Hospital that is even better.

What pleasure? We live here pay taxes, support local businesses and our communities year round, then these idiots show up for a week and we residents have our roads closed, our bridges closed to fishing, streets blocked off, hundreds of other freedoms (like carrying string, balloons, machettes, and wearing masks-all stuff I was probably planning to do this week :) taken from us. I for one am not at all pleased to have the gestapo invade my home town and disrupt normal routines for the idiot "conservative" party that just wasted 68 million tax payer dollars this week to let the world know what everyone in the world knew three months ago: Romney is their pick, woopie frickin do. Our local politicians and law enforcement people have thrown the local citizens to the dogs for naught, seems they need reminding who they actually work for......

There corporate benefactors are at these events as well. They know who they work for... Oh you mean the citizens... well we all know that isn't true. But the money they are pumping into our community is nice. And the attention on our community is great.

I feel sorry for you!!! you not only have a lot of hangups but you apparently have
low self esteem. You are doing to other's what you accuse other's of doing to you "class discrimination".!... I suggest you educate yourself a little better and stop being so narrow minded and while you are at it get some counseling. As a leftist should'nt you pride yourself on equality, fairness, and open mindness??? I guess
you don't, you are just another hipocrit.

Both parties are equally corrupt, greedy, insensitive, and selfish. Bottom line is, we are all going to have to fend for ourselves when the time comes.

Same thing I have been posting for weeks on here. Yes, both have corporate benefactors. The average citizen doesn't have a champion in the major to parties.

I think everyone in America knows our American government has been sold out and is corrupt to its core. But the fact is no sitting government has or ever will just step down, admit its failure, and allow itself to be replaced, it will take a violent revolution, just as it always has in world history. The politicians will fight tooth and nail to keep in power, they will call American citizens terrorist, socialist, communists, they will use the police and military against their own citizens and perhaps slow their own demise but in the end they will still fall, and we will rebuild based on our great Constitution and all live happily ever after, the end.
I think Americans are just waiting for the big hammer to fall all then we get to tar and feathers all the politicians from Buckhorn to Obama and every one in between :)

No, not bitter. I'm filled with anticipation that such a historic revolution will happen in my lifetime, I've got my all DVR ready:)
Do you seriously believe that any change in this country is possible when we are being spoon fed political choices by the very people making all the rules and screwing up it up for profit? Sorry Blanca no mental illness here, I'm just not suffering from the dreaded social disease "cranialrectialinversion" like you.....
