Storm forces cancellation of Mia Bloom terrorism lecture
ST. PETERSBURG, FL (Oct. 28, 2012) – Hurricane Sandy has forced the cancellation of Tuesday’s lecture at USF St. Petersburg by author and terrorism scholar Mia Bloom.
Bloom, associate professor of International Studies and Women's Studies at Penn State University, canceled the Debbie and Brent Sembler Florida Holocaust Museum Lecture after a state of emergency was declared in Pennsylvania, disrupting airline service there.
The subject of the lecture was to be her latest book, Bombshell: Women and Terrorism (2011).
